Strangers in
the Village

Forthcoming

‘This world is white no longer, and it will never be white again.’

A short essay-film which returns to Leukerbad, the swiss settlement that inspired James Baldwin’s 1953 essay ‘Strangers in the Village’. It explores the legacy of European racism, and attempts to use Baldwin’s words to understand the rise of anti-migrant sentiment across the continent.
